Using the Telescope

1)
Eye Distance Adjustment
While holding the telescope in a normal observing position, hold both lens cones tightly,
making sure both lens cones rotate inward or outward until you see a single round image
through both lenses of the telescope. In this case, the outgoing interpupillary distance from
the lens is the same as yours. Make sure to adjust to the correct position when in use.
2)
Focusing
- Close the right eye, using the left eye to observe the intended scene/target. Rotate the
center Focusing-roller until you see a clear image.
- Open the right eye, close the left eye. Rotate the right eyepiece until you see a clear image.
It is recommended to note the right eye eyepiece scale value for future use reference.
- At this point, both focal distances should be well adjusted. Use the central Telescope
Focusing Roller to focus on other scenes/targets.
3)
Foldable Eyeshade
If you wear glasses, then you need to roll down / press down the eyeshades to make sure
your eyes are close to both the left and right eyepieces for better vision. Pull up the
eyeshade if you do not wear glasses.
4)
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Use the clean flannelette to clear dust and fingerprints on the lens. You can drop some
ethanol on the flannelette to clean more thoroughly.
- When the telescope is not in use, store in a dry and well ventilated place.
- Do not clean the interior of the lens.
- Do not try to dismantle the telescope.
- Do not use the telescope to observe the sun. This will cause harm to your eyes.
