Connect the system to a different
wall outlet.
Install a noise filter (commercially
available) to the AC power cord
(mains lead).
Turn off surrounding electrical
equipment.
You can hear a noise from cooling fan
when the system is playback at low
volume. This is not a malfunction.
The remote control does not
function.
Remove the obstacles between the
remote control and the subwoofer.
Move the remote control closer to
the subwoofer.
Point the remote control at the
subwoofer's sensor.
Replace the batteries (R03/size AAA).
Move the subwoofer away from the
fluorescent light.
There is acoustic feedback.
Reduce the volume.
Move the microphone away from the
speakers or change the direction of
the microphone.
The color irregularity on a TV screen
persists.
Turn off the TV at once, then turn it
on after 15 to 30 minutes. If the color
irregularity still persists, place the
system farther away from the TV.
"CHILD LOCK" appears when you
press any button on the subwoofer.
Set the Child Lock function to off
(page 53).
A clicking sound is heard when
turning the power on.
This is the operating sound and it
occurs when the power is turned on
or off, for example. This is not a
malfunction.
The Gesture Control cannot be
activated.
Press GESTURE ON/OFF repeatedly
until GESTURE CONTROL lights up.
Make sure the Child Lock function is
not activated (page 53).
The Gesture Control does not
operate properly.
Move your hand closer to GESTURE
CONTROL (page 44) when you
perform the swiping motion.
Perform the swiping motion at a
slower speed.
Select the correct mode (PLAYBACK,
DJ, SAMPLER or LIGHT) before you
start using the Gesture Control
(page 45, 46).
Install a noise filter (commercially
available) to the AC power cord
(mains lead).
Turn off surrounding electrical

Disc player
The disc tray does not open and
"LOCKED" appears in the display
panel.
Consult your nearest Sony dealer or
local authorized Sony service facility.
The disc tray does not close.
Load the disc correctly.
The disc does not eject.
You cannot eject the disc during
CD-USB Synchronized Transfer or
REC1 Transfer. Press  to cancel the
transfer, then press  on the
subwoofer to eject the disc.
Consult your nearest Sony dealer.
Playback does not start.
Wipe the disc clean (page 63).
Reload the disc.
Load a disc that this system can play
back (page 8).
