After the system board is replaced with a new one, do the following:
• Initialize the settings on the new system board by doing the following:
1. Restart the tablet. When the logo screen is displayed, tap To interrupt normal startup, press Enter
or tap here on the screen.
2. Tap F1 on the screen to start the ThinkPad Tablet Setup program.
3. Tap Restart ➙ Load Setup Defaults.
4. A confirmation message is displayed. Tap Yes to load the default configuration.
• Reset the NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory). To download the tool and the instruction,
do the following:
1. Go to https://support.lenovo.com/documents/HT104297 and then follow the instructions on the
screen.
Note: Service account and password are required for downloading the tool and the instruction.
2. Locate the NVRAM update tool, then download the tool and the instruction.

Before you replace the inner frame left and inner frame right, do the following:
1. Disable the built-in battery. See "Disabling the built-in battery" on page 50.
2. Remove the SIM card, SD card, and Base Module. See "Removing the SIM card, SD card, and Base
