(1-16) Error code 2610 [B2] (paper feeder 1 feed motor error)

Detection conditions
• When the paper feeder drive PWB of the optional paper feeder 1 drives the feed motor, no proper clock pulse is input from
the feed motor clock sensor.
Corrective measures
Start
Carry out the following check
referring to the service manual of the
paper feeder.
Is there any damage to
the harness between the paper
feeder drive PWB and the feed motor clock
sensor or improper connection at the CN6
connector on the paper feeder
drive PWB?
Yes

(1-17) Error code 2620 [B3] (paper feeder 2 feed motor error)

Detection conditions
• When the paper feeder drive PWB of the optional paper feeder 2 drives the feed motor, no proper clock pulse is input from
the feed motor clock sensor.
Corrective measures
• Same as error code 2610 [B2]

(1-18) Error code 2630 [B4] (paper feeder 3 feed motor error)

Detection conditions
• When the paper feeder drive PWB of the optional paper feeder 3 drives the feed motor, no proper clock pulse is input from
the feed motor clock sensor.
Corrective measures
• Same as error code 2610 [B2]

(1-19) Error code 2640 [B5] (paper feeder 4 feed motor error)

Detection conditions
• When the paper feeder drive PWB of the optional paper feeder 4 drives the feed motor, no proper clock pulse is input from
the feed motor clock sensor.
Corrective measures
• Same as error code 2610 [B2]

harness or the connector,
repair or replace it.
Turn on the printer, connect a tester
or an oscilloscope, and measure as
follows.
Does the level at pin
No. 2 of CN6 on the paper
feeder drive PWB change L to H and
then to L repeatedly when the pulley
S2M15 (pulse disc) is
rotated?
Yes
Replace the paper feeder
drive PWB.
No
Replace the feed motor clock
sensor.
