Explanation, example
The provider supplies the IP address or mail
server domain name. Often referred to as the
outgoing mail server or SMTP server instead of
m
ail server.
Port number 25 is default for the mail server
(
and does not normally require change).
The setting corresponds to the e-mail address
of the web server.
The e-mail address is displayed in the "From"
f
ield of each e-mail.
Select Yes for mail server access with
authentication.
In this case, user name and password (data
p
oints below) are required.
User name and password help authenticate
e
ach e-mail via the mail server.
Password and user name help authenticate
e
ach e-mail via the mail server.
Signatures are transmitted with the e-mail.
They identify the sender, e.g. the plant's
