To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see

 Removing the I/O Board

6. Remove the two screws that secure the I/O board to the computer base.
 
7. Lift the I/O board at an angle to remove the connectors on the I/O board from the slots on the computer base.

1. Slide the connectors on the I/O board into the slots on the computer base and place the I/O board on the computer base.
 
2. Replace the two screws that secure the I/O board to the computer base.
