Purpose
turns off echoing (displaying) of commands on screen

tells MS-DOS to display the current drive and directory
defines the directories and order in which to search for
files entered on the command line; you can add
additional directories to this line as required
tells MS-DOS where to find the temporary files
tells where to find the command processor

tells MS-DOS where to find the Laptop Manager data file
sets interrupt and DMA parameters for sound compatibility
tells MS-DOS where to find the mouse driver
installs memory manager device driver
loads the mouse driver
selects the setting selected in CONFIG.SYS
sends the user to the games/demonstrations utility
