This menu is used to check the DOCK connector.
1: DOCK CONNECTION TEST
This menu is used to check the DOCK
connector without the iPod itself.
With the power to this unit turned off, short
between pins No. 14 (TX) and No. 18 (RX),
between pins No. 1 (PWR) and No. 17
(ACCPOW), between pins No. 4 (iPDET) and
No. 8 (DGND). Also, connect a 10 k-ohms,
TE
1/4 W resistor between pins NO. 21 (DOCK_
L 13942296513
ID) and No. 8 (DGND). (Make sure that the
power is turned off when shorting pins.)
Start up the self-diagnostic function and
select this menu.
The check result is displayed according to
the following display specifications.
Note) Be sure to return the shorted pins
to their original condition after
executing this test.

Using the " ︿ (UP)" or " ﹀ (DOWN)" key, it is
possible to select the Clear: Inhibit or Reserved.
Clear: Inhibit
Initialization of pairing data is not executed.
Select this sub-menu to protect the pairing
data.
Clear: Reserved
Initialization of pairing data is reserved.
Select this sub-menu to reset the pairing
data.
