Rebuilding The Engine

There comes a time when your engine just won't provide the performance it
did when it was new. When that time comes a rebuild is in order. Follow the
steps below to disassemble, repair and then reassemble the engine.
El motor debe repararse si no tiene las mismas prestaciones que cuando
era nuevo. llegado el momento repárelo por orden. Siga los pasos que se
indican para desmontar, reparar y luego montar el motor.
Check engine compression.
If there is no compression,
the engine will not start.

Engine Assembly
Montaje motor
After completely disassembling the engine, examine the components to determine which parts need to be replaced.
Scratches on the crankshaft, or piston and sleeve are signs that dirt has entered the engine. Before reassembly, thoroughly
clean all parts to make sure they are free of foreign debris. Reassemble the engine in the reverse order of disassembly
(Step 6 - Step 1). Make sure to note the direction of the oil hole on the rod and the direction of the sleeve as they are critical
to proper engine function. As you assemble the engine, use a small amount of oil on each part to make sure they are well
lubricated and move freely. When you are finished, the new components will need to be broken in. Please turn to 2-6 and
follow the instructions to break in the new components.
Una vez desmontado completamente el motor, examine las piezas para determinar cuales deben ser sustituidas. Arañazos
en el cigüeñal , pistón o cilindro indican que ha entrado polvo. Antes de montarlo limpie todas las piezas y asegúrese que
giran libremente y que no tiene rebabas. Vuelva a montar el motor en orden inverso al desmontaje ( paso 6- paso 1) .
Asegúrese que la posición del agujero de lubricación de la biela y del cilindro son correctas ya que de ello depende el
correcto funcionamiento del motor. Use un poco de aceite en cada pieza para asegurar un movimiento suave. Cuando
finalice, los nuevos componentes necesitan rodaje. Vaya a la sección 2-6 y siga los pasos para rodar las nuevas piezas.
After assembling the engine, follow the instructions on these pages to break in and set up your rebuilt engine.

plate, rotate crankshaft so
the piston is at the top of its
stroke. If piston is in the
lower position, It will be
damaged.
