1.3.1 Common Criteria Product type
The TOE is a KVM switch device classified as a "Peripheral Sharing Switch" for Common Criteria.
The TOE includes both hardware and firmware components.
It should be noted that modern Secure KVM devices do not allow any electrical interface
peripheral sharing in order to prevent certain attacks, and therefore they are no longer simple
switching devices.

1.3.2 Physical Scope and Boundary
The TOE is a peripheral sharing switch.
The physical boundary of the TOE consists of (refer to figure 1 below):
One BELKIN Secure KVM Switch, KM switch or Windowing KVM;
The firmware embedded inside the TOE that is permanently programmed into the TOE
multiple microcontrollers;
