Connecting the FR328S Firewall to Your LAN

This section provides instructions for connecting the FR328S ProSafe Firewall with Dial Back-Up
to your Local Area Network (LAN).
Note: The Resource CD included with your firewall contains an animated Installation Assistant to
guide you through this procedure.

How to Connect the Firewall to Your LAN

There are three steps to connecting your firewall:
Connect the firewall to your network.
1.
Log in to the firewall.
2.
Connect to the Internet.
3.
Follow the steps below to connect your firewall to your network. You can also refer to the
Resource CD included with your firewall which contains an animated Installation Assistant to help
you through this procedure.
Connect the Firewall
1.
Turn off your computer and Cable or DSL Modem.
a.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable (A) from your computer which connects to your Cable or
b.
DSL modem.
