Accessing the TWAIN
Interface from FreeFlow
Makeready
The instructions in this guide presuppose that FreeFlow Makeready is already installed on your computer.
Installation of FreeFlow Makeready is outside the scope of this document.
Tip: sometimes using USB ports on the front of the computer, USB hubs, or USB cables longer than 6 feet can cause
communication issues with the scanner and should be avoided if possible.
Technical Note
To select the TWAIN source in FreeFlow Makeready, the application must already be configured to see and use a
TWAIN scanner driver. If you do not see the TWAIN drivers in the Select Source list, you may need to manually
configure the application to access the TWAIN scanner. The instructions below should only be followed by advanced
users or system integrators as you will be modifying the Windows registry.
To configure it manually, follow these steps:
1.
Run regedit as an administrator
2.
Browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Xerox\Documents On Demand\CurrentVersion\Installation
3.
Set ScannerSelection to 0
