ADJUSTMENT

A LEAKING FUEL CAP IS A FIRE HAZARD AND
MUST BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY.
The fuel cap contains a non-serviceable filter and
a check valve. A clogged fuel filter will cause poor
engine performance. If performance improves
when the fuel cap is loosened, check valve may be
faulty or filter clogged. Replace fuel cap if re-
quired.

This engine uses a Champion DJ-7Y with .025"
(0,63mm) electrode gap. Use an exact replace-
ment and replace annually.

The muffler is equipped with a spark arrestor
(screen inside muffler body). Through normal use
the screen can become dirty and should be peri-
odically cleaned or replaced by an authorized
servicing dealer. To avoid a fire hazard, never
run the blower without a spark arrestor in
place.

For proper performance and long life, keep air
filter clean.
1. Remove the air filter cover (A) by gently pulling
on the cover while carefully prying up on the
latches with a screwdriver (see illustration).
2. Remove the filter (B), clean it in warm soapy
water. Rinse and let dry completely. For best
performance, replace annually.
3. Install filter, align tabs, push in, and make sure
that the latches are locked in place.

STORAGE (1 month or longer)
1. Drain all fuel from tank into a container ap-
proved for gasoline. Run engine until it stops.
2. Clean all foreign material from the blower.
Store it in a well-ventilated place that is inac-
cessible to children. Keep away from corrosive
agents such as garden chemicals and de-icing
salts.
3. Abide by all Federal and local regulations for
the safe storage and handling of gasoline.
Excess fuel should be used in other 2-cycle
engine powered equipment.

IMMÉDIATEMENT.
Le bouchon du réservoir contient un filtre sans
entretien et un clapet de sécurité. Un bouchon
obstrué diminue les performances du moteur. Si
le moteur tourne mieux avec le bouchon enlevé,
il se peut que le clapet soit en mauvais état ou que
le filtre soit obstrué. Remplacer le bouchon de
réservoir le cas échéant.

Le moteur utilise une bougie Champion DJ-7Y
ayant un écartement de 0,6 mm (0,025 pouce).
Remplacer une fois par an avec une bougie ayant
exactement la même équivalence.

Le silencieux est équipé d'un pare-étincelles (écran
dans le silencieux proprement dit). Il est normal
que cet écran s'encrasse en cours d'utilisation et
il faut le faire nettoyer ou remplacer périodiquement
par un centre de réparation agréé. Pour éviter
les risques d'incendie, il ne faut jamais utiliser
le souffleur quand le pare-étincelle n'est pas
en place.

Pour conserver au moteur de bonnes
performances et une bonne longévité, veiller
à la propreté du filtre à air.
1. Déposer le couvercle du filtre à air (A) en tirant
doucement sur le couvercle tout en actionnant
les agrafes avec un tournevis (voir illustra-
tion).
2. Enlever le filtre à air (B) et le nettoyer dans de
l'eau chaude savonneuse. Rincer et laisser
sécher complètement. Le remplacer tous les
ans pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats.
3. Installer le filtre, aligner les languettes, pousser
et vérifier que les agrafes sont verrouillées en
place.
REMISAGE - (1 mois ou plus)
1. Vidanger complètement le réservoir de
carburant dans un récipient agréé pour contenir
de l'essence. Faire tourner le moteur jusqu'à
ce qu'il s'arrête.
2. Éliminer tous les objets étrangers du souffleur.
Remiser l'appareil dans un local bien ventilé
inaccessible aux enfants. Tenir l'appareil à
l'écart des produits corrosifs (produits
chimiques de jardinage, sel, etc.).
3. Respecter toutes les réglementations fédérales
et locales relatives au stockage et à la
manipulation de l'essence en toute sécurité.
Le carburant en surplus sera utilisé dans un
autre équipement à moteur 2 temps.

El tapón de la gasolina contiene un filtro que no
puede ser reparado y una válvula de verificación.
El bloqueo del filtro para la gasolina puede
perjudicar el funcionamiento del motor. En caso
de que el rendimiento del motor mejore cuando se
afloja el tapón de la gasolina, será necesario
comprobar que la válvula funcione correctamente
o que el filtro no se encuentre bloqueado. Si fuese
necesario, reemplace el tapón de la gasolina.

Este motor utiliza una bujía Champion DJ-7Y con
un intervalo de .025" (0,63mm) entre los electrodos.

suavemente de la tapa, al mismo tiempo que
levanta cuidadosamente los enganches con
un destornillador (consulte el gráfico).

y jabón.
