    Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance or accessing any movable parts.  Do not point the blower nozzle in the direction of people or pets.  Never run the unit without the proper equipment attached. Always ensure the blower tubes are installed.

    KNOW yOUR BLOWER See Figure 1. The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this operator’s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules.
  • Page 8 ASSEMBLING THE BLOWER TUBE See Figure .  Align the flat side of the blower tube with the flat side of the blower. NOTE: Homelite logo will be face up.  Push blower tube into blower housing until the tube latch snaps into place.

    Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use. Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality synthetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz.

    STARTING ANd STOPPING See Figures  - . Starting the product differs depending on whether the engine is cold or warm. Blower should be on a flat, bare surface for starting. TO START A COLd ENGINE:  Place the throttle/stop lever in the high speed ( position.

     Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly washed cars, and blow debris safely away.  Use the full blower nozzle extension so the air stream can work close to the ground.  After using blowers or other equipment, CLEAN UP! Dispose of debris in trash receptacles.

    WARNING: When servicing, use only identical Homelite replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operation or when blowing dust.
  • Page 13 Please contact the nearest service dealer for servicing your spark arrestor. WARNING: Never run the blower without the spark arrestor in place. Failure to do so could result in a fire that could cause serious personal injury.

    Contact a servicing dealer. If primer bulb fills, engine may be flooded, proceed to next item. Remove spark plug, turn blower so spark plug hole is aimed at the ground. Rotate the choke dial to “RUN” position and pull starter cord 10 to 15 times.

    HOMELITE brand product. Proof of purchase will be required by the dealer to substantiate any warranty claim. All warranty work must be performed by a Homelite authorized service center.
