Troubleshooting
Platen Removal
This procedure is to allow easy access for removing jammed labels or paper.

Turn the power switch off. Move the paper feed selector to the
"0"
position (Friction mode).
Caution:
elf the printer has been operating, the printhead may be hot. Use caution or allow unit to cool before
attempting removal of the platen.

Fold the smoked plastic cover forward and remove by pulling straight up.

Remove the built-in sheet feeder. Remove the platen knob by pulling straight off.

Remove the platen by lifting from the left side.

Release the latches on the pull-up roller unit.

Rotate the pull-up roller unit towards the front of
the printer.

Remove the pull-up roller unit by pulling straight
up.
To release the platen bushings.

Push the right platen bushing (gray) in and

Rotate the platen bushing towards the rear of
the printer.

Slide the platen bushing inward along
the platen shaft.

Push the left platen bushing (gray) in and

Rotate the platen bushing towards the rear of
the printer.

Slide the platen bushing inward along
the platen shaft.
