NOTES :
• Before operating this receiver with the supplied remote control, refer to "Remote Control Functions" on page 12.
• Before operating this receiver, first set this unit as desired for optimum performance, doing the system setup procedures. (For
details, refer to "System Setup" on page 32.)
• After pressing the DVD button on the remote control, press the AVR button on the remote control to operate the AVR
functions with it.

LISTENING TO A PROGRAM SOURCE

Before operation
• Enter the standby mode.
• The STANDBY indicator lights up orange.
This means that the receiver is not
disconnected from the AC mains and a small
amount of current is retained to support the
operation readiness.
• To switch the power off, push the MAIN POWER
switch again.
• Then the power is cut off and the STANDBY
indicator goes off.

In the standby mode, turn the power on.
or
• Each time the SYSTEM POWER CONTROL button on the
front panel is pressed, the receiver is turned on to enter the
operating mode or off to enter the standby mode.
• On the remote control, press the POWER ON button to
enter the operating mode or press the POWER OFF button
to enter the standby mode.
• In the standby mode, if the INPUT SELECTOR button is
pressed, the receiver is turned on automatically and the
desired input is selected.

Switch the desired speakers on.
• Each time this button is pressed, the speakers are switched
on or off as follows:
→ SPK : A → SPK : B → SPK : A+B → SPK : OFF
• When using the headphone for private listening, switch off
the A and B speakers.

Select the desired input source.
• Each time the "Source ∧/∨ " buttons on the front panel is
pressed, the input source changes as follows:
� Tuner � HDMI 1 � HDMI 2 � HDMI 3 � TAPE � 6 CH DIR �
(Frequency display)
� CD � DVD � VIDEO 3 � VIDEO 2 � VIDEO 1 � USB IN �
• Each time the "HDMI 2/3" button on the remote control is
pressed, the input source changes as follows:
HDMI 2 � HDMI 3
• Each time the "AM/FM" button is pressed, the band
changes as follows:
→ FM ST → FM MONO → AM
• When the 6CH DIRECT INPUT is selected, 6 separate
analog signals from the component connected to this input
pass through the volume circuits only and can be heard
from your speakers.
• These analog signals can be heard only, not recorded.
