7. Adjust t ie-rod(s):
If thewheelis moving ina forward direction:
a. Loosen thejamnutoneachendofthetie-rod.
b. Turntie-rod counterclockwise (lengthening the
distance between t hesteering lever a ndhydrostatic
transmission) several t imes.
If thewheelis moving ina reverse direction:
a. Loosen thejamnutoneachendofthetie-rod.
b. Turntie-rod clockwise (decreasing thedistance
between thesteering leverandhydrostatic
transmission) several t imes.
8. Return seattooperating position.
9. Start e ngine.
10.Movesteering levers fromForward to Reverse s everal
times. T henreturnsteering levers to neutral p osition.
11.ShutOFFengine.
12. Ifwheel i s notmoving, tighten jamnutsontie-rod. T he
adjustment is complete.
13. Ifwheel i s stillmoving, r epeat s teps7 through 12.
ADJUSTING
THE UNIT TO TRACK STRAIGHT
_
ARNING:
Prior to adjusting the tracking of the
unit, shut off engine, engage parking brake, and
remove the ignition key.
Check and adjust tire pressure. Increase pressure on side
unit tracks to. DO NOT exceed maximum recommended tire
pressure (See SPECIFICATIONS on page 28).
If tire pressure adjustment does not solve tracking problem,
adjust the limiter bolts on the stop bracket (Figure 12). Front
bolts adjust forward and rear bolts adjust reverse. Lengthen
the limiter bolt (move closer to lever) on side which is too
fast.

LEVER
HANDLES
The handles have three height positions (Figure 13).

1. Remove the spacer, handle, and eccentric spacer from
the steering lever.
NOTE: Position the right and left handles at the same height
position.
2. Install the spacer, handle, and eccentric spacer in the
appropriate height position. Do not tighten the nut
holding the eccentric spacer.
3. Turn the eccentric spacer until the right and left
handles are the same height. Tighten nut.
