Reverse this procedure to install the top cover.

TouchPad assembly

Description
For use only with computer models equipped with a fingerprint reader (includes a fingerprint reader
board and cable)
For use only with computer models not equipped with a fingerprint reader
Before removing the TouchPad assembly, follow these steps:

Disconnect the fingerprint reader board cable (2) from the ExpressCard board.
Remove the top cover.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC Adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery (see Battery on page
Remove the following:

c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page
