SYMPTOMS

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)

Unit goes to

IR sensor used to wake up

sleep and does

the scanner is always

not wake up

sensing an object

Unit scans bar

wake up requires full

code too slowly

motor spin up for operation

upon waking up

NOTE: Disabling the IR sleep mode allows the scanner to respond to bar codes quicker

SOLUTION

Adjust scanner positioning so that the

IR senses an object when a bar code

is presented. For example; point to

the ceiling and then back to the

object.

Disable IR sleep mode
