CONTROL LOCK
The conlfollock Is located to the leh of the main keyboard. II allows you to set the cash register in the followlnll
opera~ng
modes:
OFF (Locked Mode): In Ihis mode, the cash register is locked and turned all.
REG (Register Mode): Used lor normal cash register operation.
X (RepCIrt Modo): Used to generate the X (mld·day) manager's reporl.
Z (Resol Modo): Used to generate the
Z
(end-or-<lay) managers reporl.
Aher issuance, all tallies exeepi grand lotal reset 10 zero:
PRG (Program Mode): Program mode allows you to set and change
values that are used in ringing up a sale and parameters that control
how the receipt is output.
SECURITY SYSTEM
Your Royal electronic cash register Is protected by a four-way security system that guards against cash Ihert, Joumal
tampering, and Inadvertent program changes by untralned personnel.
The Control Leck acrommodates two separate keys:
1) The OP (Operator) key, which allows movement [rom the OFF mode to the REG mode only. This prevents un·
authorized use of the other modes.
2)
The
M (Manager) key, wl1ic:h
allow~
movement through all the mOdes, i.e., backward from OFF and PRG and
forward from OFF through
Z.
The Journal Compartment Cever can be locked lor additional security. Two matching keys are provided, and these may
be controlled at the manager's
dlscre~on.
The journal cover lock Is located althe leh exterior of the cover.
The Cash Drawer is also locked by a key (twO matched keys provided in your accessories package).
DISPLAY
The Display Unit atlhe top of the machine is your visual rontact wi III the inner workings o/llle cash register.
Display windows are siluated both Iront and back so Illat operator and C1.Jstomer
can
simultaneously view. the
opera~ons.
The customer display may be elevated and rOlaled lor vlewlnllirom any
dlrec~on.
