Ch a r gin g t h e Ba t t e r y
Plug t he bat t ery charger adapt er out put cable int o t he bat t ery charger connect or as shown
in Figure 3.
Plug t he bat t ery charger adapt er int o t he appropriat e AC line volt age socket .
The Yellow / Am ber charging LED will illum inat e indicat ing t hat t he bat t ery is charging.
The bat t ery will be fast charged and, aft er approx. 180 m inut es, t he LED will t urn off.

Do not use a charger not approved by Datamax-O'Neil for use with the APEX 3. Use of
an unapproved charger could damage the battery pack or the printer and will void the
warranty.
The battery terminals are well recessed inside the printer. Do not allow them to contact
conductive material since this may create a short circuit which could cause injury or
start a fire.
