3.1 Interfacing to the I/O Connector
The Alarm mode in Image Transfer feature requires the external sensors/devices
to be connected to the digital input terminal of the I/O Connector. The sensor is
customer provided and can be a door sensor or infrared red intruder sensor. In
most applications a simple contact closure is all that is required.

2
DC Power Output Terminal
•
8 V – 12 V DC
•
Maximum of 50 mA load drive is possible.
3
Digital Input Terminal
•
Please use it by opening or GND short-circuit.
4
Digital Output Terminal
•
Digital Output Control window can set the digital output terminal.
Please refer to Page 80.
•
It is an open collector circuit and the maximum drawing-in current is 50
mA. Maximum voltage is +15 V DC.
CAUTION
•
THE DIGITAL I/O CONNECTOR IS NOT CAPABLE OF CONNECTING
DIRECTLY TO DEVICES THAT REQUIRE LARGE AMOUNTS OF
CURRENT. IN SOME CASES, A CUSTOM INTERFACE CIRCUIT
(CUSTOMER PROVIDED) MAY HAVE TO BE USED. SERIOUS DAMAGE
TO THE NETWORK CAMERA MAY RESULT IF A DEVICE IS
CONNECTED TO THE I/O CONNECTOR THAT EXCEEDS ITS
ELECTRICAL CAPABILITY.
