WARNING
When a third party discovers the personal identification number (PIN) (verified code PIN/extension
PIN) of the PBX, there will be a risk that they will make fraudulent phone calls using the telephone
line, and the cost will be charged to your own account. In order to avoid this problem, we strongly
recommend the following points:
a)
Carefully maintain the secrecy of the PIN.
b)
Specify a complicated PIN as long and random as you can make it.
c)
Change the PIN frequently.
• Verified Code Entry is effective for only one CO line call or one operation at a time.
• When making a call with Verified Code Entry:
a)
The verified code, not the borrowed extension number, is logged by SMDR. (→ 1.23.1 Station
Message Detail Recording (SMDR)) It will appear as
b)
The verified code user's Itemized Billing Code for ARS will be used.
• Verified Code PIN
A verified code PIN can also be assigned for each verified code through manager programming as well
as through system programming.
• Verified Code Entry through DISA
This feature is also available through Direct Inward System Access (DISA). (→ 1.15.6 Direct Inward
System Access (DISA))
• Verified Code PIN Lock
If the PIN is entered incorrectly three times, the line will be disconnected. If an incorrect PIN is entered
a preprogrammed number of times, the PIN will be locked. Only an extension assigned as a manager
can unlock a PIN, after which it will be reset.
