My dryer stopped getting hot what could be the problem
If your Maytag MGDC500VW dryer stopped getting hot, check the following:
1. Power Supply – Ensure the dryer is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and the electrical supply is connected.
2. Household Fuse or Circuit Breaker – Verify that the fuse is intact and tight or that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
3. Dryer Door – Make sure the dryer door is fully closed.
4. Gas Supply (For Gas Dryers):
- After running the dryer for 5 minutes, open the door and feel for heat.
- If there's no heat, check if the gas supply line shutoff valve is open.
- If the valve is closed, open it and repeat the test.
