Allowing children to be in a vehicle unattended is dangerous for a number of reasons.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D KEYLESS ENTER-N-GO — IF EQUIPPED The Keyless Enter-N-Go system is an enhancement to the vehicle’s Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) feature. This feature allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle's door(s) and liftgate without having to push the Key Fob LOCK or UNLOCK buttons, as well as starting and stopping the vehicle with the push of a button.

With one of the vehicle’s Keyless Enter-N-Go Key Fobs located outside the vehicle and within 5 ft (1.5m) of the driver's or passenger front door handle, push the door handle button to lock all four doors and liftgate.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Lock Or Unlock The Liftgate: • With a valid Keyless Enter-N-Go Key Fob within 3 feet (1 meter) of the liftgate, push the electronic liftgate lock/unlock pad located to the left of the liftgate handle to unlock the liftgate.

The ignition switch will return to the OFF position. • If the shift lever is not in PARK, the ENGINE START/STOP button must be held for two seconds and vehicle speed must be above 5 MPH (8 km/h) before the engine will shut off.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM The Vehicle Security Alarm monitors the vehicle doors for unauthorized entry and the ignition for unauthorized operation. While the Vehicle Security Alarm is armed, interior switches for door locks and decklid release are disabled.

  • Page 18 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Advanced Front Air Bags • This vehicle has Advanced Front Air Bags for both the driver and front passenger as a supplement to the seat belt restraint systems. The Advanced Front Air Bags will not deploy in every type of collision.
  • Page 19 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Supplemental Knee Air Bags This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Driver Knee Air Bag mounted in the instrument panel below the steering column. The Supplemental Driver Knee Air Bag provides enhanced protection during a frontal impact by working together with the seat belts, pretensioners, and Advanced Front Air Bags.
  • Page 20 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D WARNING! • Side Air Bags need room to inflate. Do not lean against the door or window. Sit upright in the center of the seat. • Being too close to the Side Air Bags during deployment could cause you to be severely injured or killed.
  • Page 21 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Air Bag Warning Light • The air bags must be ready to inflate for your protection in a collision. The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) monitors the internal circuits and interconnecting wiring associated with air bag system electrical components.

  • Page 23 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Locating LATCH Anchorages The lower anchorages are round bars that are found at the rear of the seat cushion where it meets the seatback. They are just visible when you lean into the rear seat to install the child restraint.

  • Page 25 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Installing The Child Restraint Using The Vehicle Seat Belts The seat belts in the outboard passenger seating positions are equipped with a Switchable Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR). The center seating positions are equipped with a cinching latch plate.
  • Page 26 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D To Install A Child Seat Using A Cinching Latch Plate: 1. Place the child seat in the center of the seating position. 2. Next, pull enough of the seat belt webbing from the retractor to pass it through the belt path of the child restraint.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D HEATED STEERING WHEEL The steering wheel contains a heating element that heats the steering wheel to one temperature setting. The heated steering wheel control button is located within the Uconnect system. You can gain access to the control buttons through the climate screen or the controls screen.
