5.Ifignition does n otoccur in5seconds, turn the burner
control off, w ait 5 minutes forgas toclear a way, and repeat
the lighting procedure.
6.Tolight o ther burners, repeat step 4.
NOTE: If ignitor does n ot w ork, follow Match L ighting
instructions.
Turn controls and gas source or tank OFF when
not in use.
If ignition does not occurin 5 seconds,turn the burner
controloff, wait 5 minutes,and repeatthe lighting
procedure.If the burner does not ignite with
the valve open, gas will continue to flow out of the
burner and could accidently ignite with risk of
injury.
A Do not lean over grill while lighting.
1. Open lid during lighting.
2. Placematch intomatch holder (hangingfrom sideof _rt).
Light match, place intothe firebox.
3. Pushin and turn rightknob to HIGHposition.Be sure burner
lights and stays lit,
4. Lightother burnersby pushing knobin and turning to HI
position.
Sideburner Match Lighting
1. Opensideburnerlid. Turn on gas at LP cylinder.
2. Placelit matchnear burner.
3.Turn sideburnerknob to HI. Be sure burner lights and
stays lit.
Burner Flame Check
•Removecooking grates and heat diffusers.Lightburners,
rotate knobs from HIGH to LOW.You shouldsee a smaller
flame inLOW positionthan seen on HIGH. Perform burner
flame check on sideburner,also. Alwayscheck flame priorto
each use.
Turning Grill Off
•Turnall knobsto position.Turn LP cylinder off by turning
hand-wheelclockwiseto a full stop.
,Turn gas off at LPcylinder. Pushthe control knobin and
turn the knobto the left to "HI" position?Click"should be
heard and spark seen each time betweencolledor box or
burner and electrode.See "Troubleshooting" if no click or
spark.
Valve Check
•Important: Make sure gas is off at LP cylinderbefore
checkingvalves. Knobslock in OFF position.To check
valves,first push in knobs and release, knobsshould spring
back. If knobsdo notspring back, replacevalve assembly
before usinggrill. Turn knobs to LOW positionthen turn back
to OFF position.Valvesshould turn smoothly.
Hose Check
•Beforeeach use, check to see if hoses are cut or worn.
Replacedamagedhoses before usinggrill. Use only identical
replacementpart valve/hose/regulator a s specifiedin the
Parts List of this Use and Care Guide.
General Grill Cleaning
•Do not mistake brownor black accumulationof greaseand
smokefor paint. Interiorsof gas grills are not paintedat the
factory (and should never be painted). Apply a strong
solutionof detergentand _,ateror use a grill cleanerwith
scrub brush on insidesof grill tid and bottom.Rinse and allow
to completelyair dry. Do not apply a causticgrill/oven
cleanerto painted surfaces.
• Plastic parts: Wash with warm soapy water and wipedry.
