Other controls

The armrests on the chair scale can be swivelled backwards independently. This is useful
because it makes it easier for the person being weighed to sit down.
– Ensure that you do not trap any part of
the body or pieces of clothing when
folding the rests down.
– The rear casters can be locked if you
push down the two locking levers on
the casters. This device should be used
when the patient is sitting down on the
scale or getting up from it.
– Once the person who is to be weighed
is seated, the foot-rests are pulled out
and tilted downwards. The patient can
now place his or her feet on the foot-
rests.

Correct weighing

– Press the Start key.

– If necessary, switch the weight display
(see page 19).
– Get the patient to sit on the scale.
– The patient's weight can only be deter-
mined once he or she is no longer in
contact with the floor. Be sure, there-
fore, that the patient's feet are on the
foot rest throughout the weighing oper-
ation.
