Helpful Hints - Magnavox MC194EMG Owner's Manual

The TV/VCR will scan all your available TV channels.
Those that carry a time signal will be listed at the top
of the screen. Use one of these channels when you
enter your AUTO CLOCK CH at step 6. It will take
the TV/VCR several minutes to scan the channels. An
"_ _" appears in the lower left corner of the screen
when the search is complete.

Press MENU to remove the menu.

Press MENU. Press PLAY/
select SETTING CLOCK, then press
F.FWD/B.

Press PLAY/ or STOP/
CLOCK CH. Press F.FWD/B or REW/s until
your PBS channel number appears.
Use the channel number you found at step 3.

Press POWER to turn off the TV/VCR. The
TV/VCR will search for the time only when the
power is off. It may take about an hour for the
TV/VCR to set the clock.

Helpful Hints

• If the TV/VCR sets the time incor-
rectly, it may have taken the time
from a PBS channel in a different
time zone. Follow the steps for
Manual Clock Setting on pages
18-19.
• If no channel numbers appear
during the channel search at step
3, there are no stations in your
area that contain the time signal.
Use Manual Clock Setting on
pages 18-19.
• During the channel search at step
3, the TV picture may be distort-
ed. This is normal.
• To stop the channel search during
step 3, press the MENU button.
