Disassembly Procedures
To avoid risk of electrical shock, personal injury, or death, disconnect electrical power source to unit and
discharge capacitor through a 10,000 ohm resistor before attempting to service, unless test procedures
require power to be connected. Ensure all ground wires are connected before certifying unit as repaired
and/or operational.
Fan Motor Assembly Removal
and Disassembly
To remove Fan Motor Assembly (including Fan
Motor, (indoor) Blower Wheel, and (outdoor) Fan
Blade):
1. Remove Front Frame Assembly (see Front
Frame Removal).
2. Remove Outer Case (see Outer Case Removal).
3. Remove 2 screws securing Condenser Assembly
to Chassis (screws located on each side of
Condenser).
4. Remove screws securing Condenser Shroud to
Condenser Coil
5. Carefully rotate Condenser Coil to the right to
expose Fan Blade.
6. Remove Condenser Fan Blade by squeezing
mounting clamp with a plyers.
6. Remove Fan Blade.
7. Remove Rotary Control Box (see Rotary Control
removal).
8. Remove screws holding blower cover on.
9. Remove 4 screws holding Evaporator shroud.
10. Lift up Evaporator Coil and carefully rotate to
expose Blower Wheel.
11. Remove Blower Wheel while squeezing clamp
and pulling forward.
12. Remove screws holding fan motor to mount.
13. Remove Fan Motor.
14. Reverse procedure to reinstall Fan Motor.

Condenser Removal

To remove condenser:
1. Remove outer case ( see Outer Case Removal).
2. Remove screws securing condenser shroud to
condenser ( screws located on each side of
shroud).Shroud remains in place.
3. Evacuate sealed system (see paragraph
Evacuation, in Trouble shooting Information
section).
Note: Before opening any refrigeration system,
capture refrigerant in system for safe disposal.
To reduce risk of personal injury or property damage
take necessay precautions against high
temperatures required for brazing
