14 White balance adjust-
ment
(1) Receive the monoscope pattern signal. Set the AV mode to "STD" and the
quality-picture mode to "480P".
(2) Using the RGB Screen control, roughly adjust the cut-off level.
(3) Service mode numbers with the R/C unit keys, referring to the table below.
(4) Turn down the screen control to cut off the raster.
(5) Using the R/C unit keys, enter the Service mode numbers listed below.
Adjust the drive so that the raster becomes whitish.
(6) Lower the brightness and the picture level. Check the white balance on the
dark screen. If out of spec, readjust the cut-off directly.
(7) Repeat the above steps (5) and (6) to have the white balance good on the
bright screen.
(8) Now adjust the brightness as well.
(9) Set the quality-picture mode to "1080I", and take the above steps (5) thru
(8) again.
