Installing Mini GBIC (SFP) transceivers The GigaCore 14R comes with four SFP cages at the rear of the unit. These cages accept mini GBIC transceivers. Check our web site for more information about available transceivers. Insert the transceiver into the SFP cage.
Connecting the backup power supply The GigaCore 14R comes with two backup power inlets at the rear. This inputs are meant to connect external power supply units for both mains and Power Over Ethernet. This providing redundancy on power level.
