    Getting Started (LH050 Series) The system comes with the following components: DVR (Digital Video Recorder) DVR Docking Stand 12V DC Power Supply USB Mouse Ethernet Cable HDMI Cable Remote Control Quick Start Guides (may not be exactly as shown) Hard drive size, number of channels, and camera configuration may vary by model.     Basic Setup (LH050 Series) 6.1 Step 1: Connect the DVR Docking Stand (OPTIONAL) The DVR can be positioned in an upright, vertical position using the included docking stand, or laid horizontally. • For vertical orientation, position the DVR over the docking stand. Push down on the DVR until you hear a “click”.

    • (Optional) NTP: Click the Setup button next to NTP to synchronize your DVR’s time and date with a Network Time Protocol (NTP) time server. Lorex provides a free NTP service that automatically updates your DVR’s time for Daylight Savings Time.

    10.2 Using a NTP Server to set your System Time A NTP (Network Time Protocol) server syncs your system time with an online time server. Lorex provides a free NTP service that allows your DVR to automatically update the time for Daylight Savings Time.

    Recording By default, the system is set to immediately record video from connected cameras in Con- tinuous Recording Mode. • Recording—Continuous: Normal, continuous recording. You can set the system to stop recording once the hard drive is full, or to continually record by overwriting previously recorded data.

Playback one channel at a time for the maximum frame rate. 12.1.1 Using Playback Controls This system features advanced playback controls that allow you to see when you have re- corded footage and motion events on your cameras.

    Playback If more than four channels are selected, one bar is shown that combines all the selected channels. This means that video available on any selected channel will be shown in the bar. 12.1.3 Using Zoom in Playback Mode You can use Zoom in Playback Mode. This is useful if you need a closer look at recorded video.

    Backup 13.1 Backing Up Video You can back up video to a USB flash drive (not included) connected to the DVR. NOTE The LH050 Series only has two USB ports. Backing up video requires you to unplug the wireless receiver in order to plug in a USB flash drive.

    Managing Passwords NOTE By default, the system user name is admin and the password is 000000. Passwords are enabled by de- fault and are required to access the Main Menu. The password is required to log into the system remotely using a computer or mobile device. You will be prompted to create a custom password after you connect for the first time.

    • P2P (peer-to-peer) indicates that the video is streaming directly from the DVR to the computer running the Client Software. • RLY (relay) indicates that the video is streaming through a Lorex video server. While relay mode is activated, the system will disconnect after 10 minutes of inactivity. Re- lay mode is only used when a direct connection cannot be made between the DVR and computer.
