Park assist camera - limitations

NOTE
A bike carrier or other accessory mounted
on the rear of the car could obscure the
camera's view.
To bear in mind
Pay attention to the possibility that, even if it
only looks like a relatively small part of the
image is obscured, it could be a relatively
large sector that is hidden from view. Obsta-
cles could thereby go undetected until they
are very close to the car.
Keep the camera lens free from dirt, ice
and snow.
Clean the camera lens regularly with luke-
warm water and car shampoo - take care
not to scratch the lens.

BLIS*

BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) is a
camera-based information system that under
certain conditions can help the driver to
notice vehicles moving in the same direction
as the host vehicle in the so-called "blind
spot".
The system is designed to work most effec-
tively when driving in dense traffic on multi-
lane highways.
WARNING
The system is a supplement to, not a
replacement for, a safe driving style and
use of the rearview mirrors. It can never
replace the driver's attention and responsi-
bility. The responsibility for changing lanes
safely always rests with the driver.

NOTE
The lamp illuminates on the side of the car
where the system has detected the vehi-
cle. If the car is overtaken on both sides at
the same time then both lamps illuminate.
Maintenance
In order to work most effectively the BLIS
camera lenses

must be clean. The lenses
can be cleaned with a soft cloth or damp
