Effects of Radio Wave Exposure
per the EU
This handset is a radio transmitting/receiving
device. This product has been verified to not
exceed the permissible value of radio waves
recommended by international guidelines.
These guidelines are developed by the
International Commission on Non-Ionizing
Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), an
independent scientific institution, and the
permissible value is a sufficiently safe value
regardless of the age or health of the user.
For the effect of radio waves transmitted by
mobile phones on the human body, Specific
Absorption Rate (SAR) units are used for
measurements. The SAR permissible value
for mobile devices is 2 W/kg, and the
maximum value for SAR when placed next to
the body is 0.96W/kg*.
SAR measurements are conducted at the
maximum transmission power; therefore,
the normal SAR is even smaller in actual
talking conditions. This is because mobile
phones are designed for the minimum
transmission power required for
communicating with base stations.
The World Health Organization (WHO)
states that adverse effects on the human
body have not been confirmed from current
scientific data on the use of mobile devices.
The WHO also recommends shortening the
talk time or using a handsfree device that
allows use of a mobile phone away from the
head or body to reduce the effects of radio
