8. Attach the connector.
9. Reinstall the base cover assembly.
10. Turn the computer over again. Connect the ac power adapter and all cables to the computer.

Replacing the wireless WAN card

Before you start, print these instructions. Read the important safety information first. See "Important
safety information" on page vi.
Note: Some models are equipped with a wireless WAN card.
Attention: Before you start installing a wireless WAN card, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object.
This action reduces any static electricity from your body. Static electricity could damage the card.
To replace the wireless WAN card, do the following:
1. Disable the built-in battery. See "Disabling the built-in battery" on page 111.
2. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.
3. Remove the base cover assembly. See "Replacing the base cover assembly" on page 117.
4. If a tool is provided with the new wireless WAN card to help you disconnect cables, use the tool to
disconnect the cables from the wireless WAN card. If no such a tool is provided, hold the cable
connector with your fingers and gently disconnect each cable from the wireless WAN card.
