CAL. W160 (RCZ SERIES)
C H A R A C T E R I S T I C S
1 . T i m e / c a l e n d a r d i s p l a y : Hour, minutes,
seconds, month, date and day of the week.
• A u t o m a t i c c a l e n d a r : Calendar adjusts
automatically for odd and even months except
February of leap years.
• T i m e i n d i c a t i o n : Changeover between
12- and 24-hour indications is possible.
2 . World time: The time of any of 24 cities in
different time zones throughout the world can
be displayed.
• D a y l i g h t s a v i n g t i m e : Daylight saving
time (summer time) can be set.
3 . 3-channel memo: Up to 40 characters can
be entered for each memo.
4 . Daily alarm: The alarm can be set to ring on
a 24-hour basis.
• H o u r l y t i m e s i g n a l : Can be set to ring
every hour on the hour.
5 . I l l u m i n a t i n g l i g h t : The light illuminates
the display in the dark.

1 . Press button "A" to show the TIME/CALENDAR
mode.
2 . Press button "A" for 2 seconds to show the
time/calendar setting display. The second
digits start flashing.
3 . Selection of the digits to be adjusted (flashing)
is made in the following order by pressing
button "B".

4. Press button "C" or "D" to set the flashing
digits. One digit is increased or decreased
with each press of button "C" or "D", respectively.
Digits except seconds, city and 12-/24-hour
indication move quickly by keeping the respective
buttons pressed.
* Pressing button "C" will increase the digits
while pressing button "D" will decrease
them.
5 . A f t e r a l l t h e a d j u s t m e n t s a r e c o m p l e t e d ,
p r e s s b u t t o n " A " t o r e t u r n t o t h e T I M E /
CALENDAR mode.
S e c o n d s s e t t i n g
When the seconds digits are flashing, press
button "C" or "D" in accordance with a time
s i g n a l . T h e s e c o n d s a r e r e s e t t o " 0 0 " a n d
start immediately. When the seconds count
any number from "30" to "59" and button "C"
o r " D " i s p r e s s e d , o n e m i n u t e i s a d d e d a n d
the seconds are immediately reset to "00".
C i t y s e t t i n g
W h e n a n a b b r e v i a t e d c i t y n a m e i s f l a s h i n g ,
p r e s s b u t t o n " C " o r " D " t o s e l e c t t h e c i t y
representing your area. The time difference
from GMT is also shown at the lower right of
the display.
* I f t h e d a y l i g h t s a v i n g t i m e ( s u m m e r t i m e )
is effective in your area, follow the procedure
in "To show the daylight saving time (summer
time)" in "
HOW TO SHOW THE WORLD
TIME" to set the daylight saving time.
N o t e s :
1 . Changeover between 12- and 24-hour indications
is made alternately with each press of button
"C" or "D".
2 . W h e n s e t t i n g t h e h o u r d i g i t s i n t h e 1 2 -
hour indication, check that AM/PM is properly
s e t .
O n l y " P M " m a r k i s d i s p l a y e d a n d
there is no indication for the AM setting.
In the 24-hour indication, "24H" is displayed.
3 . O n c e t h e t i m e / c a l e n d a r o f y o u r a r e a i s
s e t , t h o s e o f t h e 2 4 c i t i e s c o v e r e d i n t h e
WORLD TIME mode will be set automatically.
4 . If the watch is left untouched in the time/
c a l e n d a r s e t t i n g d i s p l a y w i t h t h e d i g i t s
flashing, it will automatically return to the
TIME/CALENDAR mode in 2 minutes.
