 2 Serial adapter cables (C8200)
 Dual Cash Drawer Adapter cable (C2355)
Remove Terminal from
Box
Remove the terminal from the box as
shown.

Note: The ES500 POS terminals have two non-powered RJ-
50 10-pin (COM 1 & 2) serial connections. COM 3 and COM
4 are powered RJ-50 serial ports. COM 3 is 5V and COM 4
is 12V. The ES500 has no DB9 serial ports - only RJ-50
10P10C-pin serial ports. When using peripherals with DB9
serial connections with the ES500, an adapter cable must
be used. An example would be between the terminal and
the printer serial interface cable. The adapter cable (PN
C8200) comes in approximately 10" length. A C2355 (Dual
Cash Drawer Adapter Cable) cable is shipped with each
terminal and additional cables can be purchased from PAR.
