There are two versions of the start battery,
depending on the vehicle model.

The H8 AGM is held in place by a strap. Ensure
that this strap is pulled taut.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
H7 AGM battery
•
When replacing the start battery or support
battery an Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) must
be used.
•
When replacing the start battery, a new bat-
tery with the same specifications and dimen-
sions must be used. The battery should only
be replaced by a trained and qualified Volvo
service technician.
