Key / Unique Features Dual Band 890

(Band Aware)
The GCSA Dual Band 890 operates in GSM
900 and DCS 1800 bands and utilizes phased
signalling.
It allows automatic seamless handover
between bands (GSM 900 or DCS 1900)
during a call.
This phone supports automatic selection of
single band networks in either band as well
as dual band networks.
It also automatically searches for networks
and registers on either band depending on
the list of preferred networks.
There is no indication to the user which
band the phone is currently operating on
other than display of the PLMN.
Manual selection of band mode by the user
is not possible although a user may manu-
ally select a single PLMN.
Although all phones have dual band capa-
bility each model is flexed as either a GSM
or DCS primary phone.
