Draining the Fuel Tank and Carburetor
1.Use a screwdriver to loosen the latch and open the left side
maintenance cover.
2.Place a suitable gasoline container
below the carburetor drain hose.
3.Move the fuel valve to the ON
position.
4.Loosen the carburetor drain screw
and drain the gasoline from the
carburetor and tank.
5.After all the fuel has drained into the
container, tighten the drain screw
securely.
6.Remove the sediment cup and empty it (see page 54).
7.Reinstall the sediment cup.
8.Close the left side maintenance cover.
Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive.
You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.
• Stop the engine and keep heat,
sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
