Operation
Starting the Engine
Refer to the Set-Up and Assembly section of this manual for
Gasoline and Oil fill-up instructions
1.
Move the choke lever on engine into the CHOKE position.
(A warm engine may not require choking.)
2.
Move the throttle control on engine to FAST position.
3.
Grasp starter handle and pull rope out slowly until engine
reaches start of compression cycle (rope will pull slightly
harder at this point).
4.
Allow the rope to slowly recoil.
5.
Pull rope with a rapid, continuous, full arm stroke. Keeping
a firm grip on the starter handle. Allow the rope to slowly
recoil.
6.
Repeat Steps 3-5 until engine starts.
7.
When engine starts, move choke control gradually to RUN
position.
NOTE: Never leave the choke control in the CHOKE while
operating the blower. Doing so will result in a "rich" fuel
mixture and cause the engine to run poorly
Refer to the Honda engine Owner's Manual packed separately
with your machine for more detailed starting instructions
