Star Portable Printers support Lithium-Ion (also known as "Li-Ion") batteries.
Is there an advantage to using a Li-Ion Battery compared to other types?
Li-Ion is a widely accepted type of rechargeable portable battery and is the most common
type used in modern electronics like cell phones, laptops, mobile printers and more.
The Li-Ion battery was preceded by Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel Metal Hydride
(NiMH) types. These older batteries were prone to "the memory effect" causing them to
lose energy capacity over time if they were charged when only partially discharged. Li-Ion
batteries are not subject to this issue, are lightweight and can be produced in many shapes.
