1. Operating procedure
(1) Entering the diagnostic mode
Press FUNC → 9 →
ROM Ver. FAZ0 After 2 sec: DIAG MODE

Then press the START key and country name selected by country select will appear. Select the desired item with the

Checks program ROM (128KByte) and work RAM (32KByte).
Prints the check pattern at the speed of 1 sheet/5 minutes.
Displays the name of key depressed on the operation panel.
Prints 1 sheets of check pattern.
Sends modem signals sequentially.
Clears the backup memory contents to reset it to the initial state.
Used for CCD adjustment. Executes copy operation. When the STOP key is pressed, the unit goes
into the wait state. When the START key is pressed again, the unit starts operation again.
Performs all-dot printing (approx. 3 sheets). (Check thermal head operation)
Feeds the original documents.
Sends telephone list, own telephone number list and option set list contents in DTMF signal.
Receives telephone list, own telephone number list and option set list contents.
Checks flash memory write/read.
Checks flash memory clearing.
Checks RS232C interface box.
