Problem
A smell and vapours
are given off when a
new appliance is
being used.
The display for the
pan is flashing.
The pan is not
displayed.
The cooktop switches
off while it is in use.
The appliance
switches itself off
during use, "Auto
Stop" appears in the
display and a tone
sounds.
Nothing is showing in
the touch display but
cooking is still
continuing.
The sensors do not
react to touch.
The cooling fan
continues to run even
after the appliance
has been switched off.
Possible cause
There is no pan on the
cooking zone, or the pan is
unsuitable.
There are several (large)
pans on the cooktop which
are too close together.
The touch display is
covered, e.g. by
boiled-over liquid or food
or an item placed on it.
The maximum operating
duration (1-8 hours,
depending on power level)
has been exceeded.
The touch display is
defective.
The fan will continue
running until the appliance
has cooled down. It will
then switch itself off
automatically.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
The smell and vapours will
be less noticeable with
each subsequent use
before dissipating
completely.
Use a suitable pan (see
"Pans").
Arrange the pans so that
there is more space
between them.
Clean the touch display or
remove the item.
Touch an active sensor to
reactivate the cooktop.
Remove the pan,
disconnect the cooktop
from the electricity supply
and call Miele.
