How do I engage 4 wheel drive?
1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
May 14, 2025
To engage four-wheel drive (4WD) in a 2008 Lincoln Mark LT:
- Use the Electronic Shift 4WD System, if equipped. - Select 4H (4WD High) for normal 4WD operation; the 4X4 HI light will illuminate. - To shift to 4L (4WD Low), make sure the vehicle is moving below 3 mph (5 km/h); otherwise, the system will not shift into 4L. - Refer to the proper procedure for shifting to/from 4L.
Note: Do not use 4WD on dry pavement to avoid driveline damage.
