olume Encryption begins at the disk level right after you inished selecting you RAID option. Volume Encryption allows you to mount
the volume on startup without the need to re-enter a password at every login. Once encryption is set in Auto Mount, the drives will
automatically mount whenever the NAS starts up. Let's take a look at the steps needed to complete Volume Encryption.

Volume Encryption
Under Hard Drive Coniguration, select the volume
you wish to encrypt. A warning message will appear
noting that enabling this option might impact the
performance of the device.
Click Yes to continue.
Next, you will be prompted to conigure the drive.
Select Auto Mount if you wish to setup encryption
when the NAS starts up.
Enter a password, then conirm it and click Next
to continue.
