    We hope you will enjoy using this tool for many years. Your Lithium Ion Cordless Hedge Trimmer LHT-018 has been designed for trimming light foliage. Being cordless, it offers maximum convenience of operation without the need for a connection to the mains power.

The term “power tool" in all of the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

    CHARGING YOUR LITHIUM ION BATTERY The battery (9) has been shipped in a low charge condition, and require charging prior to use. • Plug the charger adaptor (10) into a mains power outlet. • The green light on the charger adaptor (10) will illuminate showing that power is being supplied to the charger adaptor (10).

Subsequent charges • After normal usage, approximately 2 hours of charging time is required to fully recharge the battery (9). • If the battery (9) is completely discharged, 5 hours or longer of charging time will be required to fully recharge it.

    INSTALLING OR REMOVING THE BATTERY Always switch off the tool before insertion or removal of the battery.
