3.4.1.3

System Log

The System Log provides messages concerning the operation of the eCDi™ itself,
and its configuration settings.
The Connection Log provides connection and login messages for the eCDi™ Web
GUI applet (who logged in and when).
The controls on the page include:
Export to *.csv file icon. While this log will only show the last 200 messages,
the file can be exported to a *.csv (comma separated value) that opens a
spreadsheet file with the same information but can contain up to the last 1000
entries.
Print Icon. It will open a new browser window with a print compatible version
of the log. Simply use the browser print functions to print the file.
Delete All icon. pressing this button will delete all entries in the log and in the
eCDi™ .
IMPORTANT:
Once the delete button is pressed, the log entries are not retrievable.
3.4.1.3.1 Download Logs
If you press the "more" button on the System Log screen shown in Figure 3-8, it will
open the Download Logs screen as shown. This is only accessible by an eCDi™
administrator and is meant as a way of getting detailed information to Harris engineers
if trouble occurs. The links in the Download Logs screen provide access to zipped
system logs.
Clicking on one of the links open a standard Windows Open/Save dialog box. Simply
select save and choose a location to store the file. This file can then be emailed to a
Harris engineer for troubleshooting. The file can also be un-zipped and opened in a
spreadsheet program for viewing.
