Backup and reset

Set options for backing up your information and resetting
your device.

Backup and restore

1. From the Settings screen, touch Back up and reset.
2. Under Backup and restore, configure the following
options:
• Back up my data: When enabled, app data, Wi-Fi
passwords, and other device settings are backed up to
Google servers.
• Backup account: Follow the prompts to sign in to a
Google account to use for backing up settings.
• Automatic restore: When enabled, previous app
settings and data are automatically updated from the
backup when you reinstall the app.

Personal data

From the Settings screen, touch Back up and reset.
Under Personal data, the following options are
available:
• Factory data reset: Touch Factory data reset, and
then follow the prompts to return all settings to the
defaults, and remove all data from the device.
Important! Settings and data erased in a Factory data reset
cannot be recovered. To save your settings, you
can use Back up my data settings before a reset.
• Reset settings: Touch Reset settings to restore
system settings to default values.
