TROUBLESHOOTING

Problems and possible causes:
The iron does not heat up
!
The auto-stop safety switch has operated.
!
Thermostat control not correctly positioned.
Your iron produces little or no steam
!
Your iron is new.
!
The steam control is on
!
Your iron is clogged with scale or has been
used dry for too long.
Water is dripping from the holes in the sole plate
!
The chosen temperature is too low and does
not allow for the formation of steam.
!
You are using steam while the iron is not hot
enough.
!
You are using the shot of steam button too often.
!
The steam flow is too high.
!
You have stored the iron horizontally, without
emptying it and without setting it to DRY.
Brownish water is dripping from the soleplate and is staining the laundry
!
You are using a temperature that is too high.
!
Your laundry has not been sufficiently rinsed
or you are using starch.
The soleplate is dirty or brown and is soiling the laundry
!
You are using a temperature that is too high.

Your laundry has not been sufficiently rinsed
or you are using starch.
The sole plate is scratched or damaged
!
You have placed your iron horizontally on a
metal support.

You have ironed over a zip.

Restart the iron by lightly shaking it.

Set thermostat control to required fabric to be
ironed.

On first use, wait 5 minutes until steam is
produced.

for self cleaning the iron.

Set the thermostat in the coloured zone (from
to MAX).

Wait until the thermostat light goes out.

washing up pad. Vacuum the sole plate holes
from time to time. Operate the self-clean
